The Grammy-nominated international Hip-Hop, R&B duo "Les Nubians’" multicultural sensibilities span from Afro-Jazz to British Break Beat to Cameroonian Hip-Hop. Their latest CD, included in the collection, was recorded all over the world; New York, Paris, Bordeaux, London, Marseilles, and San Francisco, and is a fusion of urban poetry from the most promising poets of the urban underground, and modern music, including World Beat samplers, Hip-Hop inspired rhythms, American rappers, global Afrobeat and R&B!

About the Author

The singing sisters of Les Nubians, Helene and Célia Faussart, were born in Paris, grew up in Africa, produced the first-ever spoken word event in Bordeaux, France, and debuted on the charts with their hit single “Makeda.” During the first Les Nubians tour, they organized a national poetry casting call, finding many talented poets from around the world, including Souleymane Diamanka, Queen Godls, John Banzaï, Jamarhl Crawford, and Nazelah Jamison.
